About This Recipe
This Thick Oreo Milkshake is a delicious beverage made using Oreo cookies, whole milk, and vanilla ice cream.
I make it without chocolate syrup (I use the syrup only for garnishing, but that is totally optional) and it turns out super creamy and delicious, just like the one served at my favorite cafe.
This Oreo Shake is super easy to bring together using simple ingredients and makes for a yummy sweet treat for kids and adults alike. Serve it to the whole family on a hot summer day for a refreshing treat.
Make this cafe-style rich and creamy cookies and cream shake for birthday parties, after-school snacks, or an indulgent breakfast.
This easy oreo milkshake recipe can be easily halved, doubled, or tripled.
Ingredients

Oreo Cookies – I have used the classic Oreo cookies with white filling but you can also use chocolate Oreo for a chocolaty shake.
Milk – Use whole milk (full-fat milk) for a creamy shake.
Ice Cream – Vanilla ice cream makes this oreo shake super creamy and indulgent. If you are a chocolate fan, replace it with chocolate flavor.
Vanilla Extract – For additional flavor, add a little vanilla extract. You can choose to skip it too.
Tip – Use chocolate Oreos, chocolate ice cream, and add some chocolate syrup if you like a super chocolaty shake.
Variations – You can make a variation of this shake by adding a few ingredients to the basic recipe. Here are some examples – caramel sauce, peanut butter, frozen banana, or instant coffee powder.
How To Make Thick Oreo Milkshake
Drizzle chocolate syrup on the sides of 2 tall glasses and refrigerate the glasses for 10-15 minutes.
This step is optional but the shake looks very pretty when poured in decorated glasses.

Add 8 Oreo cookies, ½ cup whole milk (full-fat milk), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 3 cups vanilla ice cream to a blender and blend to make a smooth shake.
If you want the shake to have a few chunks of cookies, then just pulse a few times.
Tip – Keep the ice cream tub out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes for easy blending.

Pour the cookies and cream milkshake into the prepared glasses.

Top with whipped cream (optional) and drizzle some chocolate sauce on top. Sprinkle some crushed oreo cookies or keep a whole cookie over the shake and serve immediately.
