Serve them at barbecues for an easy dessert option, stock up at school so that your milk-allergic child can enjoy ice cream socials, or simply keep them on hand for slumber parties, after-school treats, or your own indulgence. Haagen Dazs Non-Dairy Bars
Next on our list are the Haagen Dazs Non-Dairy Bars. Two of their fantastic pint flavors are now available in chocolate-covered bar form. If you enjoy their non-dairy ice cream, you will adore these decadent dairy-free ice cream bars. My husband is crazy about the Coconut Caramel flavor, and I can’t resist the Peanut Butter Fudge.
- Base: Coconut Cream or Peanuts (depending on the flavor)
- Key Dietary Notes*: These bars are vegan and made without dairy, eggs, and gluten. The ice cream filling is soy-free, but the chocolate coating does contain soy lecithin.

Daiya Ice Cream Bars
Daiya Ice Cream Bars are another great option. A few years ago, I had the pleasure of sampling hand-dipped prototypes of these allergy-friendly, dairy-free ice cream bars. They were absolutely delicious, and I was thrilled when they finally hit the stores. I’ve personally tried the Classic Vanilla Bean flavor, but they offer four flavors in total, with the Chocolate Fudge Crunch receiving rave reviews.

Goodpops
Goodpops, known for their virtuous popsicles, have expanded into the world of creamy dairy-free pops. Their offerings include flavors like Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Lime, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Orange ‘n Cream. The Orange ‘n Cream option is reminiscent of a vegan version of creamsicles.

Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars
The rich and indulgent Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars have taken both the U.S. and Europe by storm. These bars feature a thick outer chocolate coating and a dense, creamy filling. The ingredients and taste may vary slightly between countries, but the decadence remains the same. In the UK, they are referred to as “Vegan” while in the US, they go by “Non-Dairy.” However, rest assured that these bars are vegan and dairy-free regardless of the name. Magnum is a Unilever brand, similar to Ben & Jerry’s.
- Base: Coconut Oil and Pea Protein

Coconut Bliss Frozen Dessert Bars
Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by Coconut Bliss Frozen Dessert Bars. I wasn’t expecting to fall head over heels for the Raspberry Acai flavor, as I’m generally not a fan of fruit-chocolate combinations. However, these bars are truly blissful. While the other flavors are equally intense and tasty, the underlying coconut flavor shines through a bit more. The chocolate-coated versions of these bars outperform their “naked” counterparts. Essentially, they are Coconut Bliss Ice Cream on a stick, delivering smooth and intensely rich flavors.
- Base: Organic Coconut Milk
- Key Dietary Notes*: Coconut Bliss is one of the few brands that are Certified Organic. They are also certified gluten-free, and most flavors are made without the top allergens. The chocolate coating is soy-free. However, the Coconut Almond flavor contains almond bits and is not suitable for those with tree nut allergies.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Sorbabes Ice Cream Bars
Sorbabes Ice Cream Bars are surprisingly satisfying at just 120 calories each. With their crispy chocolate or lemony white chocolate shells, these bars feature quinoa crisps coating a fruity or creamy filling. The flavors are bold and unique, promising a delightful taste experience.
- Base: Fruit (some flavors use Almond Butter)
- Key Dietary Notes*: These bars are vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free (yes, no soy lecithin!). Some varieties are also made without the top allergens. Almond is used in a few flavors to add creaminess.
- Availability: United States
So Delicious Dipped Coconutmilk Ice Cream Bars
So Delicious offers a classic line of chocolate-covered coconutmilk bars that have gained a loyal following. These naturally creamy bars are encased in a perfect semi-sweet chocolate shell, making for a truly satisfying dessert. However, it’s important to note that these flavors are designed for coconut enthusiasts, as the tropical hints cannot be hidden.
- Base: Organic Coconutmilk
- Key Dietary Notes*: These bars are made without dairy, eggs, gluten, peanuts, and soy. The chocolate is also free of soy lecithin. However, the almond variety contains almonds.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Alternate Honorable Mention: So Delicious Almondmilk Ice Cream Bars are also wonderful, but they have slowly been disappearing from shelves. Currently, only one flavor remains: Mocha Almond Fudge.
Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars
If you’re looking for low-sugar options, Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars are the way to go. Each bar contains around 100 calories or fewer and is both vegan and gluten-free. Despite their lower sugar content, these bars boast indulgent flavors that many people can’t resist.

Ruby Rockets Better Bars
Ruby Rockets Better Bars offer a unique twist on traditional ice cream bars. When we first tried them, the “Fudge” flavor didn’t particularly impress us, and the fruit flavors had a slightly different taste. However, after picking up a fruity flavor following a long walk, we became hooked. These bars have a mellow, rich sweetness that satisfies your taste buds without overwhelming them. Plus, they’re perfect if you prefer treats that aren’t overly sweet.
- Base: Coconut Milk
- Key Dietary Notes*: Ruby Rockets Better Bars are made without the top allergens and contain a blend of fruit and vegetable purees and juices. They do not have any added sugars.

Although all products carry some degree of risk for cross-contamination, it’s crucial to determine if their protocols meet your needs.
