Thinking about getting tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream Singapore? Here’s what to expect at the latest MOIC to open in Dempsey
In case you missed it, Museum of Ice Cream just launched its first-ever experience outside the US. This whopping 60,000 square feet ‘museum’ opened in Dempsey on 19 August 2021. Here are all the deets about the Museum of Ice Cream including ticket prices and more!
Museum of Ice Cream in Dempsey
The Museum of Ice Cream property at Dempsey features 14 never-before-seen installations that ‘celebrate the joy that ice cream brings’. Expect a whole lot of pink- raid your friends’ wardrobe so you can match for your best IG selfies – it’s all about the gram after all!
Ice cream treats part of your Museum of Ice Cream ticket
If you thought the Museum of Ice Cream was all about eating ice cream, you’re not too far off. Ticket holders will get to enjoy ice cream treats (by Häagen-Dazs and some made in house) as they are guided through the 60- to 90-minute experience by Museum of Ice Cream staff.
And when we say ice cream treats, we mean unlimited servings of ice cream reinvented with a local twist – such as Pulut Hitam Potong ice cream, Lemon Bliss Balls, Apple Pie Soft Serve, Lychee Bandung and Taro Milk Tea ice cream sandwiches – as well as unique flavours like Pina Colada ice cream.
Dragon Playground at MOIC Singapore
One of the highlights at the Museum of Ice Cream is the fully-functional, Singapore-inspired “Dragon Playground” that’s actually a unicorn design with an area to climb up and a small slide to whizz down. There are banana swings and some basketball hoops to shoot while you are there.
The whole place is designed for lots of posing for Instagram – it’s pink, pink and more pink. Look out for the red, orange, pink and yellow wall of 10,000 bananas that leads to a craft area for kids to make a little pink ice cream truck out of paper.
Other highlights at the Museum of Ice Cream:
- Princess castle-inspired Marble Run that kids can crank up to dispense a huge ‘marble’ and then watch it roll round and round
- Old fashioned pink telephones to pose next to as well as a fun jukebox in Scream’s Diner
- Massive pink bouncy castle to jump on for big and little kids (and adults!)
- The largest MOIC Sprinkle Pool ever created – it’s filled with multi-coloured giant plastic sprinkles to jump into (and it’s surprisingly relaxing to do so!)
How much does the Museum of Ice Cream cost?
Ticket prices are $42 for a single admission (includes sweet treats) and may be reserved online. Children two and under are free.
Fully vaccinated peeps will be allowed to enjoy the Museum of Ice Cream in groups of five, including unvaccinated children aged 12 and below if all children are from the same household. Unvaccinated individuals will be required to present a valid negative COVID-19 PET result from a clinic, taken within the last 24 hours prior to time of admission.
So are tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream worth it?
We asked our two kiddos if they liked the experience. They said it was 10 out of 10. Unlimited ice cream will do that to kids. We say the tickets are pretty steep but if you’re out of ideas of what to do with the kids, go hungry and go in a group of 4 pax or more and ticket prices are slightly cheaper at $38 each.
