Video Ice cream maker cuisinart recipes

Seriously, this is the best homemade vanilla ice cream recipe! I kid you not, this is the most simple vanilla ice cream you will ever make in your entire life! My secret? I’m about to share with you!

My secret to this recipe is the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker! This is the most simple ice cream maker to use, and I am amazed how efficient it is at churning the ice cream. Growing up, I used to get so excited when my parents would make home made ice cream. I honestly do not know how they made theirs, but I remember the big wooden ice cream maker that we had to add ice and salt to and when we plugged it in, and the machine would churn. It seemed like a bigger process, but I know thank goodness we didn’t have to churn it!

With the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker, making ice cream is a lot more enjoyable because it is SO SIMPLE! There are so many different variations and flavors of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet you can create in the snap of a finger. I will show you just how simple this is!

This product features a double insulated freezer bowl which allows you to make your frozen treat within 20-30 minutes. Whenever you’re done, all you have to do is wash it the double freezer container (and other removable parts), and put it in the freezer.

How Do I Make The Ice Cream?

There are HUNDREDS of different variation for making ice cream. Some methods are simple and some are complex. You know me-I love simple! For this particular recipe, you will need three cups of some kind of milk product. You can mix and match this however you would like. Here are some examples of variations:

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup milk, 1 cup half and half, 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cup milk and 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream or half and half
  • 1 1/2 cup half and half and 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

As you can see, there are several variations and ways to mix and match the milk products. In the past, I have substituted dairy milk for coconut milk, and it turned out perfectly! Since coconut milk is not as thick as dairy milk, it is really important to add something to thicken this mixture. In this case, I would highly recommend heavy whipping cream and/or half and half with this. No matter how you decide to mix your ice cream, it will be delicious!

  • Stir the mixture for the home made ice cream
  • Pouring the ice cream mixture into the frozen Cuisinart canister

Along with the three cups of milk, you will simply add a can of sweetened condensed milk and a tablespoon of vanilla extract. Once all of the ingredients are added to the bowl, it is important to stir everything together until the mixture is homogenous. At this point, Add the ice cream mixture to the frozen canister, place the mixing paddle and clear round shield over the basin, and push the “on” switch.

Tips And Tricks:

  • Do not let your ice cream churn for too long. Overtime, the ice cream will run over the sides creating a HUGE mess!
  • Whisk ingredients really well before pouring into the frozen canister. Also, It is best to keep the frozen canister moving as you pour the mixture in to prevent freezing along the side.
