I’m reviewing the Costco Enlightened Keto ice cream bars today. These keto frozen dessert bars are new to my Costco so I wanted to try them! This review is for anyone on a keto diet with a sweet tooth.

Location in Store
The Enlightened Keto Ice Cream Bars are located in the freezer section at Costco, near all the other ice cream. The product number is 1591227.
Taste
These Costco keto ice cream bars have very tasty chocolate and ice cream! I don’t think I would guess it is a keto dessert if I already didn’t know. The flavor of the chocolate is nice but does have a slight hint of chalkiness. The chocolate also cracks and falls off the ice cream easily and seems to melt really fast. Therefore these bars are a bit messy!
The ice cream has a subtle caramel flavor, it’s not very strong but you can tell the caramel is there and it’s not just vanilla ice cream. You can clearly see the peanuts on the outside of the ice cream bars but I didn’t really taste peanuts as I was eating the bar.
The combination of chocolate and caramel is delicious. I noticed the bars have a bit of that kind of flat, lack-of-sweetness finish that I find a lot of keto products have, but much less so than most.

The cost of the Enlightened Keto Ice Cream Bars at Costco is $14.99 Canadian for nine 81 mL bars.
Convenience
The expiry date on the box of the keto ice cream bars is over a year from the date I purchased them. The bars are individually wrapped and need to be kept in the freezer.
I think these would be great to have in the freezer to enjoy yourself or if you knew someone who was following a keto diet and you wanted to offer them a treat.

One bar is 200 calories, 19 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, zero grams of sugar, six grams of sugar alcohols, three grams of protein and 115 mg of sodium. The amount of fat is quite high but that’s normal in keto products.
Ingredients
If you’re allergic to nuts, eggs, soy or dairy these keto ice cream bars are a no-go. They are gluten-free though. The bars are sweetened with monk fruit and xylitol. Also just an FYI, Xylitol is not safe for pets so don’t share these bars with your furry friends!
